This photo series talks about transformation. It is a research about myself, my ego and my personalities that attribute to specific colours. We all shapeshif and play roles in society that were either attributed, or imposed to us. Who am I? And how do I want others to perceive me? This question became more and more a spiritual research but also a political way of showing off, as queer, as femme, as human. It is said “you need to grow yourself some balls as a womxn in society” – I also say, “know how to play your role”. As a womxn it is expected from me to be kind, caring, loving, smiling and sexy at the same time. But I am also everything else: vulnerable, dramatic, scary, seductive and evil. As I embody different personalities in this series there is no boundaries in expression, recognizing my self as whole, good and bad aspects, embracing the full variety of being me. The series contains portraits of myself combining them with a still-life setup on different objects that fit the personality.
